Actually, it wasn't classless, and it wasn't about who the better player was.
We couldn't afford to keep them both, and management decided
which player was the right one to build a team around. It wasn't a slap in the face or anything personal.
True, but they failed at getting a contract done in the month they had also to do it.
The Sabres failed in that regards, but the team right now, is better because of their blunders and us missing the playoffs.
I think they learned their lesson about when to start contract negotiations too.
