I think he's suffering a lot from Butler's sorry excuse for defense. He's not as good as he was last year, but Butler is like a -12 or something. I'd be more concerned about the younger guy struggling than the older guy. I think we've reached a mutual feeling of Rivet getting older and his career winding down. Butler is who we need to be concerned about, he REALLY sucks this year, and he should be progressing from last year, but instead is regressing.
Hm, to me, butler really hasnt looked that bad. In fact I often times feel like he's having to take up a lot of slack from Rivet not being very mobile or fast. When Rivet gets himself trapped in a corner or along the wall because he didnt have the legs to avoid being trapped, butler is pretty good about getting to a spot to help him out. That is what a D partner is supposed to do of course, but if Rivet had more speed this wouldnt be an issue.
