Secret confession :shhh:: I'm really liking Pominville's game lately, and he's starting to make me a re-believer.

I know! Right?! I thought for a second that Briere was back playing with him. Isn't it nice that Pommer's stick isn't breaking all the fucking time?!

He is one scary mother effing dude.

Actually, he plays heavy metal - he's rhythm guitarist for Finnish deathpunk band Mononen.

But what' listening to heavy metal got to do with bein scary? ;)

Haha nothing at all.

It just adds to his intense persona.

I love how that's Toni's MO...

apparently montador still hasn't learned his lesson, as he is still in a bit of a funk. some more bench time might do him well.

Monty's hockey sense is barely better than Lydman's. At least when Butler and Suckera give it away they do it from nerves, not just being dumb. All 4 of our 5-8 guys are serviceable, and can all fill different roles. We're lucky to have them, but I'll be glad to be rid of Loods salary. He was paid as a lock-down 1st line guy(at the time). On this team, he's a liability.

As much as I know it's his time to go, it's gonna make me sad to retire my Loods jersey.

which he has never been. he's always been a good second line guy and was a phenomenal third line dman for calgary. we've done nothing but expect him to outperform everything he was before we signed him. i still would rather he was on the ice than all of our defensemen...except in a fast paced game, which would be ennis. did anyone see roby praise lydman for aobut 5 minutes during the intermission yesterday?

If there isn't a metal song called, "21 gun salute", then I guess it's your time to step up, and write one. Awesome song name though, ain't it?

It'd just be me playing awesome arpeggios over and over while a gun salute loops in the background haha

You know I've never been big on Loods Pat, because one screw up(bad give away) can negate 20 minutes of good play. If he didn't have those shining moments, I'd be right there with you.

Not sure what you mean by Ennis?

Oh no, I can hear someone grunting "21 gun salute" like every 8 seconds after a few incoherent words.

I'm guessing he got his Tyler tall and small mixed up? If so, cue the sesame street. Big............................Small.

They played Toronto last season at the Bovine a night before the Sabres played at the ACC. I tried to go for the couple of days, but couldn't put the money together. I wish they'd play a show in Buffalo or, for that matter, find North American distribution for their CD.

The back story on the band's name is sweet, btw.

Lydman didn't play during that show, btw - he was interviewed by the cameraman during though.
