Hard fought victory tonight.

Lets get the negatives out of the way, there were only a few, more of points to improve on.
First, Miller, playing to far out and gave away what I call a softie. No biggy, but it put them up by one.
He definitely was out of position. The 4 Sabres Ryder skated thru to get that goal didn't help either.
Not a good play in the defensive zone at all.

Connolly looks like shit, enough said here.

Giveaways were bad this game, I saw alot of players having to get back quickly to cover up plenty of those mistakes.

Robie is correct, the forwards need to "create" the breakout for our D, they are getting hemmed up due to forechecking pressure way to often this season.

Ok, thats some of the negatives I noticed, now, on to the positives.

WE PLAYED A PHYSICAL GAME AGAINST THE BOSTON BRUINS AND WON!!!!
Surprise, surprise.

Stafford, has he been drinking out of Vaneks water bottle again? I won't get on the Stafford wagon yet, but if he can maintain this consistency of just putting points up on a regular basis (no one is asking for a HAT TRICK every game, maybe every other game ;) ) I will most definitely reconsider my thoughts on him.

Roy, what more can you say, this guy is without a doubt well worth the 4.5 mil a season we pay him.
Fantastic passes on atleast 2 of those Stafford tally's, especially the last one.

Ennis looks like he is waiting for a center and RWer to play with.
Pomminville, WTF dude, another whiff, and on an empty net  .

Hard fought victory with plenty of action, even after the game..........

This is the BUFFALO SABRES I want to see every fucking game........

Because of my fucking cable company I only watched the third period but good to see a win against Boston. The biggest thing that frustrated me was the last two minutes. The Sabres had a man advantage and played that protect the lead bullshit. That gave Boston a chance in the Sabres zone at which time they pulled Rask which basically tossed Buffalo's man advantage. The Boston announcers couldn't believe the way the Sabres were playing that last two mins....They made fun by saying that the Sabres were in a prevent defense.

What a great win, I was getting so sick of seeing them lose to those boston pricks.

Could we possibly be worse in our own end? The SLIGHTEST forcheck gives us tremendous problems, they look awkward and hesitant against any sort of determined force trying to keep the puck in the zone, that absolutely has to be changed, somehow.

Am I going to live long enough to see a sabre beat the fuck out of Chara in one way or another? This Sasquatch gets away with sooo much, I wish we had someone who could make him pay.

I missed the game because my floor hockey game was right in the middle of it. Someone came in between periods and said that there was a scrum where Miller took a swing at Chara and everyone squared off. Any info on this?

Since the preseason, Stafford has been a machine. Also, as I mentioned to the Mrs. tonight, when he has come back from injury, he's been a force on the ice! This is the kind of play we need out of him and he's been doing a great job of it! Right place, right time! Keep it up Staff!

At the end of the game, Chara was screening Miller, and was right in Miller's grill. Miller shoved him away. After the final horn blew, Chara went by and gave him a love tap on the shoulder. Gaustad went after Chara immediately, and then everyone paired off. It was awesome! Not like a huge fight, but still awesome. There will be a video up soon.

I went to the Pens/Rangers game and watched douche bag Cooke ham it up for HBO and cost the team the game. The only thing dumber than Cooke are his fans. "Way to go Cookie." STFU!

I got home and watched the Sabres/Bruins game and it was a good one.

Of course, it would not be a Sabres game without a goal against that was a direct result of a defensive zone turnover. But they responded like winners time and time again. And, there were a lot less of the d-zone mishaps then I've seen recently. Improvement = optimism.

Miller was good in this one, he didn't play like he was on fire or like he was frozen in carbonite, just a good steady game form the Vezina winner. And of course I love the fact that he isn't taking Chara's shit.

I disagree with slesh about Connolly, I seen him throw some hits and get emotionally invested in this game. And even though he sucks at hitting, who am I to ask for more from a guy? If he's going to commit to bringing the effort then I have to believe that good things will follow and he will be about a point per game player for the Sabres, and more importantly. help the team win a lot of hockey games.

This was a very rare bad game from Montador, but even still his bad games are never disastrous. Just bad by his standards. And he probably looked worse today after he was flying versus the Pens, maybe a little extra for the HBO crew. ;) Nothing wrong with that as long as you don't look like a douche. Like Mike Green.

Ennis continues to impress, every single game he is creating prime scoring chances. He's going to learn how to become even better, maybe not Martin St. Louis better, but I think he has All-Star potential for sure.

Welcome back Stafford, way to release those shots!

Roy was brilliant, the hands and vision were stellar once more.

It's just great to see a power play win.

I had a really good time at the game and not all Bruins fans are douchebags. I sat right next to two guys from St. Catharines and they were really nice to talk to. I need to Start getting to more live games, the last game I went to was 10 years ago and I forgot how much fun it really is.

Roy is paid 4 million a season slesh, not 4.5 million. Connolly is paid 4.5 million.

The Sabres need a win streak and their biggest chance to start one is now with beatable opponents coming up.
Florida - Tampa - Anaheim - Florida - Calgary - Edmonton.

If they could win 5 of them they could climb into a playoff spot.

5 wins in a row are not enough to earn a playoffspot. :? have a look at the conference standings. ugly
