You saying that you hope the Sabres end up "losing big" for the rest of the season is basically the same thing as hoping they purposely tank so they get a higher draft pick.
I didn't mean to be a bitch to you specifcally, slesh, but I am soooo sick of hearing know-it-all fans actually believing that is an option. This is professional sports. No team is going to tank on purpose, and I think it's sad that some fans actually hope for their teams to do so.
And I am also sick and tired of hearing fans complain about how they've been watching their sports team for decades without any real success, and they act as if they are entitled because they have been watching them for so long. It's ridiculous.
And I don't mind when people call me out on something. Go ahead, I don't care. I can handle it.
Ok, this is better, and I now understand.
I'm hoping they get a bad record so we can get a higher end talent in here. I hope that clears up the "tanking" issue for you.
Teams do tank "on purpose". It's happened in the past. GM's pull players to ensure a position in the off season and so on.
No one is entitled to anything, but older sports fans who have followed a team or sport have seen a "repeat of history" so to speak. In short, they've seen it before. Actually, I listen to older fans, and for the most part, they are correct, by the way. I feel no differnet about myself. I used to be a season ticket holder. Now I just go to a few games a year, but regardless, I pay a fee for entertainment, I still expect to be entertained, is this not fair to you? If you know something I don't, let me know.
I'm glad you can handle it.
As for Miller, If you look at my OP, I clearly stated he played good enough to win this game. I wasn't calling him out, nor am I doing so for the entire weekends events. He was hung out to dry in Miami, this was plain for all to see. As for this game, he would have been like he was last season to win this game, hence the comment. Every player has better seasons than others, but Miller was clearly not the problem here this evening.
