I think the Pegula high wore off and their true colors are showing again. Time to sell what we can before it's too late and our leverage is lost. Take a page out of Burke's book Darcy, sell when you know your team is not a contender before the whole league does the same and you lose all value.

Yeah that was about as boring a game as it gets. At one point during the game I rubbed Gold Bond on my balls, it really soothed and excited me. Now, nobody should take this the wrong way, but I think that between periods the Sabres should dunk their junk in a bucket of Gold Bond. Less sweat on your balls = smoother skating.

On a more serious note, and a little bit more calm, I don't think that the Blues had players any more talented than ours. They played their system very well. My biggest criticism?

The Sabres passing is AWFUL. They pass in the general area of each other, but no tape-to-tape passes to speak of.

They also all seem to converge on the puck, instead of trusting each other and spreading out.

Totally agree, man. The times when we were trying to break out of our own zone, they wore on us like a wet blanket. It's like they just watched a tape of the Toronto game and played the exact same style to a T, but just a little better.

I dare say it's time to revamp the game plan because this bag of smashed arseholes doesn't jive at all.

What Pegula high was that exactly?

I felt like I was watching slugs try and play hockey. It was awful and I feel bad for the fans that shelled out money to see taht crap

I had the game on while I built a table. It was so boring I still almost fell asleep while hammering nails.

The only thing I can think of is that he's trying to say that the word of a new owner coming might have made these guys play their asses off for the jobs, but the true reality is that they should still be doing that, which means there's no such thing as a Pegula high.

They played well, and at a high level. Now they're not. I think the Toronto loss was a blow.

Again not trying to be negative but we all know alot of players must go. I'm in sell mode if I was the owner. Sell Connolly, Rivet, Niedermayer, Grier, Butler, possibly Montador and even Hecht. Play the youngsters and build for the future. This current squad isn't good enough to make a run even if they make the playoffs.

We will not go through another winless opening homestand.

The Pegula high was them playing with way more heart and inspiration to impress the new owner so they can keep their jobs.

It was pretty obvious to me that they looked heartless for half the season. Do you think it's just a coincidence they climbed back into playoffs since the Pegula ownership rumors?

What I mean by that wearing off and their true colors showing is that this team came back to reality the past week or so. They lost three straight at home and IMO they should have lost in Montreal also but they managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat and comeback in a fashion no other team in the has before.

Basically what I'm sayin is this stretch where they were one of the hottest teams in the eastern conference was just a flash in the pan. Forget this team not being good enough to make a deep run in the playoffs they might not be good enough to make the playoffs altogether.

It's time for a new start, selling is the only option I think. Let the rebuilding process begin.

Let us define reality for a moment. That is winning games. Losing a string of games at home is not reality. It will not be under Pegula's watch either.

If the Sabres lose to the Capitals on Sunday, the first order of business after the financial transfer of the team is finalized is deal a player or fire Regier. One of the two will happen.
