Aaaaand cue my idiot drum, I can't read...Anahiem has 13M in cap space, not 1.3M...yikes...in any event, it's definitely a roster size casualty

Yeah, I was gonna say. Anaheim has been offering him like 5 years deals for about $5-6 million a season. I don't think cap is an issue for them.

However, I'm really hoping that they're open for a trade. I'd love to see Bobby in the blue and gold.

Yeah, and we were hoping to see Kennedy in the Blue and Gold too.

Buffalo can, and has proven their willing to spend to the cap...Kennedy made a full roster, and would have to clear waivers due to the amount of games he's played.

Long story short, Buffalo gets Bobby Ryan, super skilled, super sized, super hard working, and Kennedy becomes an undersized skill player, forced into a 3rd line role, roster size casualty.

Just a thought that popped into my head while I was hitting the 9th green today.

i'd like to see an offer sheet sent to marc staal. somewhere around 1.5 million would probably do it. rangers are already over the cap. staal and montador as our second pairing makes our d look a lot better on paper.

Oh yeah, my bad...lol.

I think it figures into keep Gerbe up full time, and Signing one more player...or maybe Darcy just did some fine heroine over the weekend, or maybe Golisano and Kennedy's dad got into a fight over eating microphones and moving to Florida...

I'm really having number issues today...

He's young and has potential. Don't think they will give him up that easily.

I'd instantly send Staal an offer sheet for about $3.5-4.5 million a year if it meant getting him away from the Rangers. Sather is so stupid, he'd probably let that happen, too.

well, maybe they need the money from him to clean up the arena, lol, part of it just had some pretty severe water damage. all joking aside, why not just trade him? why a buy out?

true. didn't read that much up on the situation with him before posting this, to be honest. i guess staal turned down a 4 year 14 million deal. maybe 4 years 17 million offer sheet. if they match it, maybe we get lucky and they buy out or just move drury and we can snatch him back up .

could be a win win for buffalo . if only darcy had a brain .

Maybe they just want him in Portland, or is it true he is getting bought out?

maybe, but then wouldnt he have to go through re-entry waivers, where if he got snatched there the other team would only have pay half for him. i think. is that correct phil?

Re-entry waivers are for him coming from Portland to Buffalo again. And you're right, half the salary would be paid by Buffalo.

i thats what i meant, if we brought him back up, unless they want him down there the WHOLE season. (that is only if the buy-out rumor isnt true)

Yea, who knows though, maybe they see Ennis better then Kennedy on LW, and with a full healthy roster Kennedy just doesn't fit. Or at least this year.

That's logical to me at least.

But we don't have Torres anymore so it gets confusing again.
