Is there a good trade coverage going on I could pop up on the puter? TSN feed isn't working for me.

That's what I'm using, and it's working fine for me.

Why does the deadline have to be on a day that I have a TON of work to do??!

Since the lockout:

TC - 0.83 PPG, +21

Boyes - 0.71 PPG, -13.

With the likely imminent departure of Connolly, can someone please explain to me how this is such a solid pickup for the Sabres? At virtually the same salary, this is not an impact move.

Because for now we can have two underperforming centers with a lot of talent, or one of them and Hecht or Niedermayer at center. Not the biggest impact no, but move to fill a current hole in the line-up. A 2nd rd pick is a good price too.

Stats don't say it all. First off Brad has 15 pounds on Timmy and secondly he isn't made of glass. I don't know much about him but from what I hear he's a guy who has suffered from being on a crappy team and has wanted a change of scenery for awhile. This could be just what he needs to get that spark back.

Connolly's never scored more than 18G. Boyes has cleared 20G 3 times. That's enough for me.

Most of Boyes' career minus came in one season. He was -20, but scored 33G.

I'll take that.

Tradecentre still shows it as a 2nd.

The Sabres and Blues themselves both said it's a 2nd round pick.

Tradetracker , and the TSN live scroll show it as a 2nd. Sabres have announced it as a second. I think it's safe to say it's a second.

Plenty of Blues fans are happy to see this guy go because of his inconsistency and underachievement. I think fans are just excited about the prospect of a trade after so much stagnation in the organization. Sounds and looks to me like a spitting image of TC. A wash in the end, except MAYBE he will give them a little extra push toward the playoffs. As they say, the grass is always greener...

St Louis fans would be happy if they never got Halak

That means exactly nothing. Every time a player is moved, fans of the former team crap on the player and say good riddance. Use your own reasoning to decide if a move was good or not.

I think this guy just lost heart on a shit team. Hopefully this move breathes some life back into him.
