I want his hat. Anyways after 11years he finally learned how to coach, if he used this new system in 05/06 and 06/07 he probably would have a cup

Hmmmm, He sucks, he only has 100 more wins than losses as a coach.

With some abysmal talent in many of them, I might add.

That was funny...Had me going for a second when I saw the title, but when I saw the author I knew it was a joke.

Whomever is responsible for this goalie situation might need to go though. That is, unless it's fixed soon. Hopefully they have a plan.

If Miller plays again tonight, it's a sure sign of no faith in LaLime. If LaLime starts and looks bad again, the situation is even worse.

Get a reliable backup, NOW!

Sooo.... when we get rid of Lalime and acquire Marty via trade, is he going to score the goals too?

Different issue.......Our "roster stars" need to step up.... Pommers has seemed to step into the role of Kotalik and shoots exclusively from 50 feet out, dumps the pucks or passes into empty air to avoid hits, Hecht is non-existent, the list continues. And the line shuffling, AGAIN, is maddening. Thank God for our younger pre-assimilated guys who actually play like they want to win and not collect a paycheck. As for the Goalie back-up it is an issue repeated every game LaLime plays in. Perhaps he is good somewhere, but our guys cannot win with him in net. We have a good team this year, not withstanding the ridiculous string of back to back Friday and Saturday games, but there are issues.

For some reason, most want to hang their hats on Lindy's record over the years, and ignore the last three seasons. He must be held accountable for our failings as a team. Our top six didn't just all suddenly start to suck at the same time. Too much of a coincidence.

Not trying to troll, but are you sure about this? I do think Lindy tends to stymie offensive players growth for the most part. Putting Briere in this (new?)system may have made him fail too. Playing a defense first system can be difficult for any forward, which in turn can frustrate them offensively. I'm not trying to denigrate Ruff here, but I do question why they overpaid a bunch of skilled forwards to play in this system. Like Ice said, this system is(or at least should be) set up for dedicated players. You don't necessarily need "top tier" players for this. They traded Paille, and he seemed to be the poster child for this system. I guess I'd personally spend the big bucks on defense first, and then maybe overpay a forward or two if I had any loot left. Pronger would have been at the top of my list(seeing Rivet just isn't doing it)..

I like the above post.

Either dump all of our non North American players, or dump Ruff. None of them consistantly ever play to par; let alone overacheive in his system over the past three seasons. Come to think of it, even our North American players often underachieve....

It would serve as insurance for our best player; and as they say; "That ain't nothing..."

I gave him a pass after Briere and Drury left two years ago.

Last year, he failed to get the best out of any players. Miller and Myers are the only two who look good this year. Yep; he has somehow become a "Sacred Cow" here in Buffalo. It isn't deserved.

Sabre fans seem to have a talent for sanctifying players easily and, often times, without warrent. Ruff, Brier, Drury, Grier, Myers, Max (up through 2007) and so on.

We also have a talent for throwing players under the bus at a moments notice.
