I would consider it a good road trip if the Sabres earn...
5 of possible 14 points 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
6 of possible 14 points 3%  3%  [ 2 ]
7 of possible 14 points 5%  5%  [ 3 ]
8 of possible 14 points 7%  7%  [ 4 ]
9 of possible 14 points 29%  29%  [ 17 ]
10 of possible 14 points 37%  37%  [ 22 ]
11 of possible 14 points 3%  3%  [ 2 ]
12 of possible 14 points 3%  3%  [ 2 ]
It ain't a success unless they win every game 12%  12%  [ 7 ]

San Jose may be the biggest game of the year, no doubt.

All I know is We beat Chicago, and they currently are the best team in the league in the standings at least.

And we did it with Lalime in net.

Obviously it's still different though.

we can compete with those top teams. We've beaten some of the best teams already this season. San Jose will be a toughie, but I know we can pull it off if our boys come out with all they've got. They play better when they got to live up to a challenge. It's games against teams like Atlanta and the Islanders that worry me more though. I hope the Sabres don't pull the crap where they play down to certain teams.

I'm looking forward to that SJ game. it's almost a preview to the game i am going to go to on the 13th of february. I'd say the kings will be another tough one as they are easily one of the young powerhouse teams of this season. Atlanta is always tough. I'll be optimistic and say 10 out of 14, hoping they are damn near perfect.

I kind of, deep down, want all ten to come from the WC teams. I really effin like this undefeated streak against the West.

7-0-0 against the West this season, better on the road than at home (I believe? I could be carrying that stat over from a previous season)...

I'm going to go with 10 of 14 points.

Being realistic, I would be happy with 8 points. SJ obviously is the marquee game. Phoenix will be tough, they have great goaltending and are a good team. LA is playing strong, and Quick going up against Miller will give him extra motivation. Vancouver wil be tough, the Sedins lead the league in scoring in December if i'm not mistaken and Luongo is starting to return to old form. Atlanta is hit or miss and if Marty gets the net on the Isle it will be tough as well. You throw in all the travelling, jet lag, and late games, I would really be happy with 4 wins.

We really have 6 people who think that anything less than 7-0-0 is an unsuccessful road trip?

I picked 7-0-0, but just because I *want* it. I would expect 10 points, 2 of them probably from OTLs.

There are less distractions on the road, we've got a great road record, and an even BETTER record against WC teams.

this is the stretch that is going to rape my sleep schedule because the west coast games start at ten

Being as I live in New Mexico, this is the stretch where I don't have to sneak out of work early to see the games that start at 5 or 5:30 MST :D

As far as the production for the trip, I voted 9 pts. We should be able to win both Atl and NYI which is four and then get half of the possible points on the West coast portion (5 out of 10pts).

I believe Harry Neale is going to do it but not positive on that.
