I've had Jochen down as public enemy #1 for a while myself, but he seems to be one of our better forwards lately(crow sandwiches for everyone). If we're going to be 'this' kind of team, then he fits in well, and the more over-priced, under-utilized, inconsistent back-checking "skilled" forwards are the ones who have to go(as ice usually points out).

Moral of this story is: "Don't choke your Jochen".

Maybe ETC isn't around because he's sulking that Jochen is doing well...and if forced to eat his "Fuck You Jochen Hecht" thread.

I think he is sulking, but ALMOST ALL of us are feasting on the crow. Irony may get the only pass on this one.

Don't side with Jochen just yet.. He'll dissapoint our high hopes for him.. He always does.. And when he gets into another shitty funk, all of you guys will be like "I can't believe we believed in Hecht again, trade him!"

I was completely done with Hecht and Tallinder. However, I anticipated Hecht being at center again. Once he was going back to LW I had some hope for him. Tallinder though, has totally come out and proven me wrong.

The big question is do we resign Tallinder?? Maybe if Myers can make Hank look great, then how great would he make a good Defenseman look??

It's obvious that Myers makes Tallinder better but does Tallinder make Myers better?? All I see on the ice when both of them are out there is 2 tall guys that can stop anyone.. Do we dare split them up?? I think Im afraid to.. Im really enjoying what we have..

Nah, we should let Tallinder walk and try to sign a d-man that can also help on the point during the PP. Lydman and Paetsch will be gone. Weber is the likely replacement for Lydman, and anybody can fill in for Paetsch if Ruff still wants eight d-men. After that I'd look at Seidenberg or maybe Leopold, but Seidenberg is the point man on the Florida PP, not Leopold.

I think the big reason was how calm and collected Myers was with Tallinder and he realized he'd be out of a job if he didn't pick his game up.

I say if Lydman never had been injured in the early season, Tallinder would have been benched, but with him playing and at first getting school by a rookie, he completely changed his game to what it was. And it's paying off having him play with Myers.
