I think without the Olympic break we wouldn't be seeing Myers as great right now as he has been, but then again, the scheduled wouldn't have been as condensed either.

He was worn out, just like our team right before the olympics and it's great to see this team back into tip top shape from that break.

I voted yes, simply because I want him to hit 50.

I hope he hires Miller's personal trainer over the summer and learns how to really take care of himself physically. That would make him a true beast and really thrive with the number of minutes he gets.

Before the beginning of the season I would have been happier than a pig in shit just to have him make the roster!

While it would be very nice if he hit 50 points, I don't think he will. Mostly because he is a defenseman, first & foremost. He takes his position to heart, don't you think?

By the way, Myers has 46 points and with 6 games left, he could easily hit the 50 point mark this year.

Myers is also now leading all rookies in +/- at +16.

Phil I could have sworn he had 48 points, somehow he did and when I went to make sure NHL had him at 46 and I was at first like WTF, he has 48 points, then I counted it and got 46. :(

But only 4 more points in 6 games, he can do it for sure.

I still can't believe we picked him up as No. 12, great draft. I just found out that we drafted him in Ottawa Image

Just think, LA could have had him.

Doughty - Myers

I would be glad we're in the EC. Then again we still have Crosby, Malkin, and Ovie here...

LA got Tuebert instead and had no intention on drafting Myers, now how does that look for Darcy to guarantee he got Myers?

Darcy has been in some heat for his 1st round drafting, but it looks like he's gonna be 2/2 with his '08 1st round picks.

Remember when people weren't sure if he was staying?
This kid is our best player not named Ryan Miller.

Contrary to popular belief, the video scouting system is much better than the old scouting system with people.

Proof is in the pudding.

He's a great skater, better than Chara was at that age, and that's really the only other big guy I've ever seen skate like that. Rod Langway could get around well but he wasn't as graceful, Myers looks like he is 6'2" sometimes when he's moving around.

He's a good one, gonna only get stronger and smarter. Maybe a Norris contender someday, he's got a long career ahead of him.
