My brother just bought a white slug Ennis jersey. Worse purchase ever....We're never going to see the slug again, the white one is even uglier than the dark one, Ennis might not where that number next year=FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Pegula We We Trust!

I was thinking about this earlier in the week. The rule states that teams must choose one home and one away jersey for the entirety of the playoffs. I've been wondering whether or not they would reveal new jerseys early or just wear those white Winter Classic ones. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but I think it would be a smart marketing ploy by the Sabres and the NHL to put these out for the playoffs.

It might not happen though...You think there would be some kinda leak other than hours before a game. They have to order them with all the names and what not on them.

Order them? You do realize they ARE the Buffalo Sabres right? Its not Jim Bob's Auto Repair ordering jerseys for their weekend beer tourney. PRETTY sure they have them available, hahahahaha.

Maybe they've already had them? Maybe they have planned on having the team wear them well before the playoffs even began.

Maybe they'll all just wear the jerseys they wore at the Winter Classic and the new additions to the roster will have a raffle to determine what departed former team member's jersey they get.

The Sabres PR staff are denying this up one wall and down another, but they would. I mean, how could they in their right mind spoil what could be the surprise of the playoffs?

you have to make arrangements to switch jerseys and logos a full calendar year in advance. if this is going to happen, it was planned LAST april at the latest. i really cant see the NHL just switching all willy nilly at the last second.

I hate our road jerseys...they're so fugly. I just don't like the yellow "slug" against the white. Can't wait until next season when we get our old roads back.

Just saw a pic of them on ice and warming up. Either they're wearing the Slug as an elaborate ruse, or are really wearing it. Doesn't bother me, really - we already know the Slug is dead either way.

I recall from the playoffs of 2007 someone in the organization saying that if we were ever in a position to win the cup, we'd be wearing the classic jerseys.

Perhaps this is an extension or a blown up rumor from that possibility. I'd imagine the Sabres would make that request.

They did say that, it's a huge reason why we have only seen the third for our home games so far.

They've got permission from the league, so the Winter Classic, or a true classic white would also come out during the finals on clinching games if that were to happen.
