He can't play in Portland.

I'm wondering the same thing especially if he's guilty of that assualt charge! Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I'm willing to look past a petty thing like missing curfew...but that 20 game suspension bothered me. Now this? Of course we don't know if it is true and it might be someone just trying to get money.

That petty thing wasn't him missing curfew per se, it was his lady not leaving his place in time *ahem*

I'm not that worried about these three incidents.

A 19yo kid wants to get some? I understand that one.

He blew up that kid with an over the line hit. I like the aggressiveness.

He got into a bar fight apparently after he was egged on for a while. I'm not saying he should have done it. But, I understand.

Dumb rule. It can really stall a young player's development.

Wow. No puck, left his feet, head shot, then he fought and beat the crap out of the one guy. The guy is tough but shouldn't be allowed to play hockey.

Everyone watches the official footage. Sure it was a questionable hit, but I don't think it was as dirty as everyone makes it out to be. When they handed out the suspension they even stated he didn't leave his feet prior to the hit and it was not a hit to the head. This video from the stands actually makes it look a lot cleaner than the network feed.

Either I've become and angrier person, or this website has become to tolerant to stupid people. "He should not be allowed to play hockey"

Jesus Christ are you serious? Do you really need that much sensationalism garnered on EVERY post, or are you truly that smart

99% of B&Y posts are pure, unadulterated sarcasm. I'm guessing his last was one of them.

He can't play in Portland.

He can as of Jan. 24th if he remains a Sabre until then(if I'm wrong, please correct me).

Well, it doesn't matter what the rules are if Darcy has already stated he isn't signing him.

Oh ya, that.

Well, if he has one of the 23 roster spots available come Oct., he may change his mind and sign him(I'm sure he learned something with Myers).

Well, we have to remember that Myers is one of the top 10 rookies in Sabres history. Fer crissakes, he broke Gilbert Perreault's mark for assists as a rookie (not the record, just how many Perreault had. Still impressive). Myers is a player that many coaches say possesses a combination of skill, skating, and size that they've never seen before - ever (One of them being Scotty friggin Bowman).

Kassian may turn out to be great, but right now he's just a power forward. There are plenty of players that, while probably more expensive than BZK, will have more to offer. If it were me, I'd sign him and give him a chance anyways...albeit with a short leash. But Darcy's in charge, and he's made his decision.

My take on it is that he can slide into the line-up starting as a 4th liner if necessary. He doesn't necessarily need to jump right in to the top 6(like I hope Ennis does & I will quite frankly be angry if he doesn't).

I wasn't comparing Myers to Zach, but merely showing how a young guy can make the team. It seems Myers actually had a smaller margin of error being one of only 6 defencemen(mostly experienced too).

It would take some serious roster shake-ups to get Kassian in on the 4th line, as Kaleta basically owns that slot. On the third line, Grier has his spot locked up. At the second line RW spot, Pominville is firmly entrenched. It's gonna take Ellis and Mair walking and no one getting signed to make room for Kassian at the 4th line, and frankly, that's a waste of his talents. He was signed to score plenty of goals and crack plenty of skulls, not play 7 minutes a game and grind.

i would say regier doesn't really have the upper hand. as long as vanek is here, and not traded to columbus for some package of picks, we are going to need that big winger to create space for vanek and the tiny crafty roy to move, unless sabres fans are happy with a star paid player playing average. Unless Regier is looking to trade for a Backes like player, which i doubt he's trying to trade for. Probably still thinks stafford is a viable option, to which i must laugh. Might look at and make an offer but won't commit to anything. Hell he had to be pushed to make the drury trade and hasn't made a good trade since. I'd almost think Kassian could go in and say you need me, and if you don't sign me there are other teams that will want me. But i believe the reports are that contract negotiations had been slowed not halted.

I dunno, man - every headline and story I've read have stated that Darcy has halted contract talks.
