I think we have enough scoring potential up front, it's just that too many skilled forwards aren't showing up.

Yah I agree that we have too many "offesnive" defensemen. You could add Grags to that list also until yesterday's game that is. We definately need another Regehr type of defensemen on this team.

We do have the scoring potential but the "scorring forwards" instead of Vanek are those forwards that you know just show up sometimes here and there and end up with a good showing at the end of the season with a 20 goal or so season. Stafford was nothing but luck last year and everyone knows I didn't like this signing. The guys on pace for a whopping 37 points 22 of them goals. We defniately need another scorer in here I don't know who is available this early in the season but Darcy needs to get someone with a good level of consistency on the offesnive side of the puck in here. And we've got the pieces to bring in someone to help Vanek and Pominville...

Maybe have a chat with Sutter while they are in town about the availability of Iggy;)

3. Iginla costs 7 mill per year. How do you suggest we fit that shit in?

You trade away salary. Stafford 4 mill, Jochen 3 mill, Sekera 4+ mill etc...

And you gotta relax bud I was kidding about Iggy that's why I put that lil wink thing at the end of the sentence....

And I gurantee Stafford won't put up 30 goals this year.

Relax? Didn't think I was getting hot headed.

I thought you were serious about the Iginla deal because you've offered up some pretty weird/crazy trade ideas in the past and I just thought you were at it again.

So, we trade away salary eh? Just that simple. Who wants Jochen Hecht? Raise your hand. Nobody?

No one wanted Reinprecht but somehow he was traded this year...

In order to move salary, you need to find a team willing to trade with you. You also need to offer up players of equal talent and skill to receive a good trade.

One can't trade horse shit and expect ice cream in return. It doesn't work that way.

To PHX: Chris Gratton To Buffalo: Briere

To St. Louis: Eric Brewer, Jeff Woywitka and Doug Lynch. To Edmonton: Chris Pronger.

To Washington: Jaromir Jagr, Frantisek Kucera. To Pittsburgh: Kris Beech, Ross Lupaschuk, Michal Sivek

To Florida: Roberto Luongo, Olli Jokinen. To NY Islanders: Mark Parrish, Oleg Kvasha

The list goes on and on....

Unless you know the circumstances of these trades and why they happened, you will not convince me of anything. Looks like you just picked trades where GMs were dumb (Millbury) or players wanted out.

P.s. you forgot to add the Rask trade. It's the biggest blunder of the 2000s.

I just picked a trade here and there. But lopsided trades happen every year in the NHL. And teams always take on garbage while shipping out pretty decent players

So you think we can ship out Hecht, who is 3 million dollar contract that expires this year?

Miller is tanking so that Ruff doesn't overplay him. Genius.

Mos Def I think we can ship Hecht out once he gets a few games under his belt. And the fact that this is the final year just makes it more intriguing to others teams that want to take a chance on him and if he fails to do what he's supposed to the aquiring team isn't in a whole after this seaosn.

Unless we're not in the playoff hunt, I don't think trading away our depth is the best option. I alos think that if we DID trade Hecht, the return would be so low that it wouldn't be worth it.

Here ya go Jam Jam..you're getting your wish!
