If we were doing that terrible and someone made that sign for us, I'd laugh and compliment them on it.

No hard feelings is what sports should be about.

How embarrassing for those Leafs fans that painted their face for the game... I guess they forgot that their team has only won one game so far.

To a point I agree.

However, when your team is 1-7-1 and you're still talking about being a favorite for a cup, you have some issues. :)

Who cares. Why should they get credit for staying loyal to their team. They're fans, it's what they're supposed to do. The other day I read a story about a Leafs fan that sold his loyalty on eBay and now he's a Stars fan for life (at the request of the person who won the bidding).

Because they are embarrassing themselves when they come into the HSBC Arena and trash our team and our city, and act like they're at the top of the standings despite the fact that they're 1-9 or whatever. What exactly are you giving them credit for? Supporting their team? Cool...I support the Sabres too when they play terrible, or miss the playoffs, or go bankrupt...it's called being a fan. I just don't see why they should get any special credit for doing what a fan is supposed to do.

you said they should be embarrassed that their fans came with face paint and that they forgot where they were in the standings. you never said anything else about all that other crap. on what you said alone, no. where you are in the standings shouldnt be relevant to showing team spirit.

You took my words too literally. I don't have a problem with fans supporting their team by following them on the road, as long as they can be respectful. My point is that they invade the HSBC Arena like they own the place and they have an elitist attitude coming in simply because they're from Toronto so they're automatically better hockey fans than we will ever be. They should be a little more humble considering that the Sabres are at the top in the league and their team is in last place, not to mention the fact that the Sabres always seem to own the Leafs when they come to town. But the majority of Leafs fans that come to the arena have never exemplified any kind of respect whatsoever. So I have no patience for them or their anticts. I've dealt with their shenanigans too many times. It's not that big of a deal.

I'm with Caro on this one pretty hard. Last Leafs game I went to, I wore beer three fucking times. I haven't been to a Leafs game since.

This place has such a double standard it's mind boggling. Wasn't everyone attacking Skyline in a different thread about generalizing fans, because they were Buffalo fans? The Leafs fans that come to Buffalo to heckle do not reflect the fanbase. Mike is saying give them credit for staying proud of their crap team. Not the ones who pour beer, or steal nachos [that happened to me and it sucked; nachos are expensive], but the ones that respectfully come in with pride for their team.

Everyone really needs to lighten up. For realz.
