Maybe Darcy is waiting to sign a RFA defender then.

All the big name UFA's are basically gone, but some of those teams who signed UFA's won't be able to sign their RFA's.

I don't even get mad about this anymore. We knew with about 90% certainty this was going to happen. I think we'd have been shocked if he got us Martin and Michalek or Tallinder and Volchenkov. We try to get better, "a different way, by building from within". I honestly think Pitt and NJ BOTH got quite a bit better today, and we stayed financially sound, but got weaker. There's still always the trade deadline, right???
