That doesn't shock me. Basically, BTG and Quinn pretty much painted a pretty picture as if everything went as planned, and it was very moving. BTG pretty much said he felt an obligation to keep the Sabres in Buffalo, so he did. Larry and BTG basically shat on Bucky Gleason. It made me so happy.

Like you've said all along, whether we liked it or not, BTG saved this franchise and made it viable again. We at least owe him the respect of that. If WGR wishes to shit on him regardless, then I guess it's their right, but it's just amazing that they just can't grow up and get past the whole Drury and Briere debacle.

Wow props to TG. thanks for saving the franchise and thanks for telling that guy who wanted to buy the Sabres and move them (Basille?) to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Lots of loot to pass up and he did. BIG time props there.

As for the Bills. I think they will stick around after Mr. Wilson passes. But if it comes to it, I hope he can save them as well if it comes down to it.

I love it. I also love that the language of the sale agreement includes a stipulation that Pegula can never move the team as long as he has control, which I assume will be for a while.

Drury signed a contract to stay here. It wasn't signed off on by ownership. I would say that that's indicative of him wanting to stay here.

i never had. all i had ever heard was "buffalo doesnt negotiate during the season" and briere begging for a contract to keep the team together. then i heard when buffalo DID offer a contract in spring 2007, it was too little too late, and he moved on. then briere got an offer at the last minute and briere saying no thanks, hes taking his talents to south philly.

on to balsillie, i have 0 issues with him owning a team in hamilton, the only issue is the way he goes about obtaining the teams, or trying to. thats why he has no team to show for it, its his way, or no way.

In his interview, they asked him if he expected to be here next season. He said yes. When asked if he has had talks with Pegula, he said yes.
