Well there is some toughness...how about we add Winchester and everybody is happy go lucky.

Also, anybody heard anything on Frolov, Lombardi, or Kovie?

I applaud that move it's cheap and he was very good in the playoffs for us. Like the Staples guy Wow, that's a low price! Plus with Mair and Ellis probably gone they need one or two more tough energy guys anyways.

Frolov, there's some idle chatter. Nothing big.

Lombardi wants between $4M and $5M per. Fuck that.

Kovy is making his decision today on LAK, it's been reported.

It looks like Rangers for Frolov, Kings for Kovie, and I haven't seen anything about Lombardi other than that he's marketing himself way to high.

I'll take Cormy over Mair any day, but Ellis is very defensively responsible and is a master at puck protection. Plus, he has those weird multi-point games against BOS :lol:

But seriously, McCormick is a legit tough guy who has size AND talent over Mair, so this is an upgrade that costs less, too.

Ya know, if Lombardi wants 4M over 3 years...I'm game. That'll be about the time, Kassian, Adam, and probably a few others will be ready.

It's a nice stop gap, given the vast amount of space we have next year, and the next couple years available. Especially with the weaker free agent markets over the next year or two.

Lombardi isn't a bad player at all and he's fast as fuck. Plus he's just starting to hit his prime.

Lombardi would be our third line center and bump Goose back to the 4th line. I'd be 100% cool with that, except I'm not okay with paying him $4M for 53? points last season playing in the Coyotes' top six when he'd be bottom six here. It's the same thing as the Dominic Moore experiment, only the Sabres would be saddled with him for three years.

I'd love Lombardi. But 4-5 million is laughable. I'd pay him 3.5 a year for 3-4 years. He's really solid.

I agree they might be two or three players away but they do have some guys that need to go as his core group of players aren't good enough. No-one is saying blow it up but adding a guy or two here and there and cut the garbage out like Connolly and Stafford.
