I don't think he's NHL ready yet and I hear ya Slesh Marty would never take a backup spot back on his old team

The Pirates look pretty terrible this season. Not anyone I would want to call up, if I were GM :(

I'm hoping for a trade. LA and Chicago remind me of the Drury/Briere Sabres. Good game though tonight.

You see how crisp and clean those tape to tape passes are, and of course the energy is just awsome, I miss the days man, as ETC said, to dream the impossible dream

Kassian missed about 3 weeks with a shoulder injury and just returned to action for the Petes last week. He's playing well, though, with 5 goals, 5 assists in 12 games, and a nasty 22 PIM.

Stafford better get it together, because this bruising RW with scoring skill is just what our top line needs.

Too bad Stafford signed a two-year deal, because I feel like Kassian will be ready to tear shit up with Connolly and Vanek next season.

Imagine Kennedy centering for Ennis and Kassian. Whoa.

I would too, but Stafford is going to be easier to move.

Stafford has never approached Pominville's production.

Which is why Pominville would fetch us better return, but he makes more than what he's producing now. A center like Weiss, however, could do wonders for his career.

But I just don't see Regier even considering moving Pommer. If he did move Tallinder and Pommer for Horton, that would open up serious cap space for the deadline when the Sabres can make a move for a vet.

Pipe dreams, man, pipe dreams...

stafford may not produce the same, but pominville gets too much and doesnt do enough... id rather have staff if paychecks are in the equation.

Mair was a hard working player man, poor bastard got left out in the cold. But, life goes on in Sabreland and I really like Ellis, who I consider Mair's replacement, Ya, I'd take Ellis over Mair.

Thanks Adam, wish you the best..........NOW GTFO :)

Pommer is making way too much to move. He's locked in for about $5.5 million/year and though he's an effective player, he has yet to show he's at that level yet. Hopefully, this year he will step it up and give us a solid 80-90 points with a top +/-.

Well, didn't see this coming. Sucks for Mair, though. I wish him all the best (unless he lands in the East somewhere). Nice to see Darcy at least tinkering with the roster...

I laugh at those that underestimate the value of Jason Pominville.

I suppose it wasn't a big deal to let Dumont slip out the door, either, right?
