Not sure how reliable this is, so I tagged as a maybe.

Considering how fantastic Enroth has been lately in Portland, this wouldn't surprise me. Paves the way for Marty, too! ;)

My guess is that Enroth merely rides the pine and Lalime is the next non-Miller goalie to get a start.

Well that would be interesting....
Wildcat or anyone else around that listens to Portland sports radio that can confirm this?

Wildcat hasn't been around these parts in weeks. It sucks.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Here's some European page reporting the same thing:

http://www.hockeysverige.se/news_show_e ... id=9008303

Translated:

Enroth back to Sabres again
Jhonas Enroth is back in Buffalo Sabres and NHL again. The night to Thursday did he a big game stem Portland against Manchester, the season's held first zero and intercepted powerful 39 of 39 pucks.

Since came the really that Sabres-reserven Patrick Lalime is sent down to Portland in order to few game training and during that time is that sense that Enroth will cover up his place in Sabres.

Gate country plays hemmamatcher both Friday Saturday and an away game on Sunday, what gives Lalime a cup electricity off games to play during the weekend.
Concurrent plays Sabres home against Montreal tonight and matches against New york Rangers on Saturday.

Patrick Lalime has only played three games this season. The last was November 21 in 3-5-förlusten against Ottawa.

This, I like. I don't think the kid got a fair look when he was up last. But this time around I like the play of the boys as of late so maybe they will give him a better supporting cast.

So the question is; out of our next games coming up (NYR, NJD and WAS), what night do they let Miller take the night off?

If this turns out to be true, it also means the Sabres are exposing Lalime to the open market. Considering his rather low salary and lengthy experience, it's far from a given that he'll clear waivers. I suspect the Sabres are hoping that he gets scooped up to clear cap room for...

maybe washington while Ovie is suspended? although they are still a very talent offensive team, but i can't see them having him try to out duel Brodeur or Lundqvist. The Rags have 80 goals for, but have fallen quite a bit from their hot start

I'm going to go look, but I'm 99% sure that conditioning assignments do not expose a player to waivers.

would he have to go through waivers to do this? or are you thinking that they will place him on waivers after this stint?

Bucky just responded to my question about this on the live chat:

Quote:
12:04: [Comment From ETC] There are reports out that Lalime was sent down to Portland and Enroth called up. Is this true?

12:05: [Bucky] Well, based on what I saw this morning, I would suggest it was false. At least that's what I would guess considering I saw Lalime about 45 minutes ago at the morning skate.

Enroth's Facebook status says he was coming to Buffalo...

Don't judge me!

Just because he was at the morning skate doesn't mean he wasn't sent away shortly afterwords.

This is win-win. Get Jhonas some NHL time and see how he does. Give Patty a few games in the minors to either gain his confidence, or prove us all right.

i dont think enroth would get any starts while hes called up. hes acting like a place holder incase miller goes down mid game. so unless you count riding the bench as NHL time, hes more or less a spectator.
