Andrew Peters was also drafted 34th overall. Who went in that round after him? Mike Ribeiro and Mike Fisher...and Yes Zetterberg was in the 7th round....who did we take before him you ask? Brett Decceco, (who?) Seneque Hyacinthe, (who?) Ryan Miller (Thank god teams passed over him 5 times.), Karel Mosovsky (who?), Tim Preston (who?), Milan Bartovic (who?), and amazingly, in the first round...the one...the only... Who thinks that? I've been watching hockey forever, and the Hasek era certainly gave any dedicated Sabre fan an appreciation of "the close game". I think you(and a few other posters lately) are just being snarky(which could also be considered a breach of the no douche-bags policy). I'm not coming at you personally bro, just reminding people that we are ALL Sabre fans. There aren't 2 different kinds of fans here.

It's been mentioned from time to time, displeasure expressed at the fact that the Sabres have a tendency to win close games.

It's phrased in a way, though, that implies that they are a lesser team for it. People are dissatisfied without the occasional blowout. I just look at as if they're in the playoffs... Winning close games is a good thing.

Also, the 7-2 avoids the 4 embarrassing loses in a row before that. While I agree that we may be getting hot, it seems to be somewhat deceiving.
