This is speculation, it seems, but it bears repeating: DirecTV may lose MSG by this Friday, leaving Sabres fans who subscribe out in the cold!

Story here\

EDIT: DirecTV and Cablevision came to an agreement, so no one is losing MSG

Another reason why Dish network is better! Gotta love dish!

I get double the HD on DirecTV that Dish offers, and I pay less for it.

The owners of these channels are trying to makup lost revenue from other sources by raping them when it comes to carriage agreements. Dish will be in the same spot once their contracts are up.

EDIT: MSG is currently receiving $1.84 per month per cable/sat subscriber, and $1.44 per month per sub for MSG+, combined total of $3.28

They want to increase that to over $4 , which is insane.

So I'm 3000 miles away with potentially more access to Sabres programming than you folks freezing your nads off in WNY?

That's f'ed up.

Only those of us don't deal with TWC's suck ass service. :)

(And as an Adelphia employee alumni, it's saying something when I think TWC sucks. :p )

We only had to pay en extra 10$ a month for our HD, which is not bad and we do Phone, Internet, and Dish all in one and save incredible ammounts of money.

Yeah exactly. Plus, I have more HD channels than I know what to do with.

They reached a deal, nothing to worry about anymore.

If the reached a deal than put some of the dam games in HD on the center ice package or I will be pissed off.

That's not between Rainbow and DirecTV, it's between Cablevision (who owns Rainbow) and the NHL.

Thus DirecTV subscribers in the Buffalo market are able to get HD games, but nobody with Center Ice with any provider is.

Different agreement you need to hope for, sorry.

I'll edit the title, and then have a mod lock the thread.

The same thing is happening here in Florida. TWC is canceling Fox networks and the Florida Gators are playing on that station. Everyone is in an uproar because they won't get to see Tim Tebow play in his final college game. It's been on the news every night and famous lawyers down here are in court trying to reverse this action.
