He thinks that Miller deserves the Vezina, that Myers deserves the Calder, and that Ruff should be nominated for Jack Adams every year, and Miller is a candidate for the Hart trophy. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/s ... id=4799407 |

I love that Barry Melrose and Pierre Lebrun are speaking so highly of Miller and Myers, It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. ![]() Finally Miller gets his due, I have been sayin since he came into this league that when this guy is focused and on his game he can be the best in the game. Tyler Myers sure has stepped up to play a huge role in this team's success...Brian Campbell who? |

The only thing I disagree with is his beliefs on the Hart and Vezina...goaltenders certainly do sometime warrant winning both. |

I don't really want Myers to win the Calder...don't want his agent to have that kind of bargaining tool when his rookie deal is up. |

I want Myers to win the Calder...to hell with his agent - this kid deserves all the hardware in the world. |

Nothing, but the idea Los posited is that if Myers starts winning hardware, he'll use it as a bargaining chip when the time to extend him comes. |

Well it would be nice for the Sabres to receive that kind of attention. But just with past awards winners for the team that didn't exactly leave on good terms...Hasek and Peca I mean. |

Myers is going to get some type of crazy contract anyway, probably the Campbell deal, 7 years 6.5+ per...and I'm fine with that, because when his rookie deal is up, Rivet is up, and so is Stafford and Hecht. Not to mention the shedding of Lydman/Hank's contract, and Connolly's contract in the years before. We'll have plenty of space. This is why Darcy is stressing building from inside, because we're going to have to start using smaller contract prospects instead of big contract FA's, because we won't be able to lock up future stars like Ennis, Myers, Kassian, ect by spending 9M on free agents. Darcy doesn't look as dumb as he looks now, does he? |
