Hey folks,
Not trying to paint a different picture than what we've been seeing this season, but if you have access to a store which sells the Hockey News, there is a really decent write up on our boys in the latest edition. (Jagr on the front cover/Feb 1st/2010)
It details pretty much what we've been saying about how they're doing things their own way and very quiet in doing so as they hold onto one of the top spots in the east.
Here's a blurb;
"Before this season is finished, fate may fashion a villain or two from their roster, and a handful of Sabres player headshots may get pasted on dartboards continent-wide. But be honest - outside perhaps the Canadian teams, would a Stanley Cup championship mean more to any city other than Buffalo? Highly, highly doubtful."
"You needn't adore the Sabres, but surely you've got enough embers of empathy still flickering in your charcoal-broiled hearts to recognize a decade-in-the-making Cinderella story when you see it."
Maybe our boys aren't doing things as quiet as we thought?

But hey, it's good press and gives me something to read while I'm at work. And something to dream about!
