Warwick and Bishop have been working with Miller since he was a teenager.

The Buffalo Sabres star came to Bishop with a design idea for the Olympics that included a caricature of Uncle Sam rolling up his sleeves. Bishop made it come to life with splashes of the Olympic logo, patriotic sayings and vibrant colors.

"We talk quite a bit -- (Miller is) really good with ideas," said Bishop, who works out of his home in Grand Blanc. "Ryan will sketch stuff up even. He's not a bad artist himself."

The mask took about 40 to 50 hours to finish, Bishop said.

I like the little four leaf clover right by the cage. Interested to see what the other side looks like.

First reaction: hideous. But it could look good in the context of the rest of the uniform. On its own, it's kind of like something I would have seen airbrushed onto a western New York bunout's van 20 years ago.

I like the idea of the US rolling up it's sleeves and getting ready to work. I think it means something that every time his teammates look back at him, that's what they'll see.

It's my personal belief that a goaltender's mask for the Olympics should be as absurdly patriotic as possible. So, to me, this mask kicks ten kinds of ass. I love the Uncle Sam readyin' to kick ass.

my dream mask is off-white, with white trim, and white accents. then of course, other cool stuff. but i think the off-white with white time would simply be bad ass.

Ubder the actual torch is probably Bishops signature, if it's something on the actual torch, it might just be Olympics or the symbol for the Olympics. Or Vancouver since that's where they will be held?

Looks badass, go USA BTW!!!!!!!!

That's my problem with it. Other than that, I love it.

Look what I bought today on NHL.com's store:

Image

Kind of annoyed that the smallest size they had was a men's medium, but I'll manage. 8-)

Yeah, that's what I plan on doing. I can maybe just tie it back if it's too baggy.

I'm still pissed at USA Hockey's lack of jersey options on their website.

I can get the Team USA jersey from the Olympics shop, but not personalized. The USA Hockey shop only has this year's jerseys for toddlers.

Fuck those little bitches, I WANT MY THREADS!!

I think the mask is ugly...it looks like a 10 year old drew uncle sam, then had their mom do the best job he could painting it.

The stars and shit, all the things that were done with a stencil/tape outline are pretty fly, but that shit is "standard".
