Earth to Darcy - The race is close for the playoffs EVERY YEAR dickhead. It's not like this year is any closer than last or the year before that. The only thing different between this year and last is that we can almost guarantee we'll be in the playoffs.
I'm not happy with just being IN the playoffs.

Ok now, I spent some time this morning trying to figure out which 3rd/4th line piece of junk Darcy is going to bring in with that Paille conditional pick.
Anyone have some names to throw out there? Who is going to be brought in to shore up our Ellis-Mair line?

I wonder... Could something like Stafford, Lydman, Kassian and our first pick have given us Ilya?

I thought about it, and I'd rather have Bergfors, Oduya and the pick than Kovalchuk.

The fact that nobody wants our players for what they've got, typically speaking, does not mean that Regier doesn't try. I'm glad that most people have gained some sense in this area since going nuts on the dude in 2007. Boy, was that offseason ever amazing.

That's it, I give up on this season. We're third in the east, and have 3 games in hand on our closest division foe. But Darcy didn't get Kovie, so I think we should tank and draft high...
Sounds stupid when it's said like that doesn't it? Cause that's the summary of this thread's topic post...

Holy shit, give it a rest already. You're embarrassing yourself with your stupidity, just so you know.

I thought about that, after seeing the package NJ gave. Kinda seems similar to the Loods/Staff/Kass/1st. Hmm.....

2 RFA's and a 1st to lose a guy in 30 games because we wont have the capspace to sign him...no thanks...it's not just about 1 year, it's all about being competitive year after year, not win one year, and miss the playoffs the next.
