Just heard this on WGR550. He skated today. Still not 100%, but he wants to play.

I guess a partially injured Kaleta is probably better then what we've had lately. But I'd almost prefer him just take it easy and not play tomorrow, then get a few weeks of solid rest in and come back 100% after the Olympic break...

I'd rather play him, since he has two weeks to rest anways.

Well it is just a badly bruised foot, tape it up tight and inject some pain killer into it and let him go.

I'd love for him to be back, but then the issue inside of me is what if he really hurts himself if he plays.

It's 50/50 for me, let him play or don't, it all depends really.

That would be awesome.

Yeah but between his concussion/neck problems of the past and his bruised foot, I dunno if I'd want to tempt fate too much by bringing him back when he's not 100%. Would hate for him to have the injuries start piling up and miss more than the 2 weeks...

Play his ass, go balls to the wall to get a win against one of the best teams in the NHL, and you have a chance to put the Sabres back on track.

or play him, have him re hurt himself, and have him gone for the rest of the season

sit him, and hope he gts better to 100% over the break

He's got a bruised foot.

Yes but a bruised foot can easily turn into a "still bruised" foot.. Gotta watch out for those these days

And a growing history of head and neck problems. If he's healthy enough to play and he wants to play, I say play him. We need his energy and obviously his ability to lay people out desperately, and I bet watching this soft team losing games is really making him all the more eager to get back into his game.

But if the diagnosis is still iffy and he could irritate his foot further or possibly mess up his game enough to put him into dangerous positions on the ice (for a high octane player who makes a lot of enemies), just sit him and make sure he has his mind and body 100% for us.
