This is going to be a long 2+ weeks. 16 days until Sabres hockey returns.

I'm already starting to get the shakes. Wondering wtf am I gonna do without Sabres hockey. The Olympic hockey better live up to the hype.

Yeah, it's going to be weird. And most of the games are on while I'm at work. |

Is it too early to be anxious about whether the break will somehow improve the goal scoring prowess of Vanek and Pomminpuss (Roy seems to have stepped it up a bit of late), and if the break will help improve the play of Rivet and Montador (hope a few injuries heal and they play more like the beginning of the season. I would think our young defenseman will benefit from a bit of a rest as well. |

They could chill in your backseat and play by play your driving. They could commentate during work, pissing off your coworkers by making your mundane tasks seem super epic. For an extra fee they will even work there announcing magic in your bedroom while your working your magic. Awkward? Yes. Awesome? Yes. |

Still, How many open nets and shots are still sailing wide and high - I don't give him a ton of skill credit for the goal he scored against San Jose either - a lucky bounce - but we will take it - especially if it comes a little more frequently!! |

I don't think it's going to be fixed in 2 weeks when he's been doing it for 2 seasons. |

I don't think it's going to be fixed in 2 weeks when he's been doing it for 2 seasons.[/quote] Maybe he will try a new stick over the break, and abandon the balsa would lightweight he has been carrying - he ends up with a broken stick on the pk more than anyone else on our team, but he does have a hell of a shot, if he could find a stick that could handle his force and maybe flex a little less to improve his accuracy a bit, we would be way happy with him again - just a suggestion there Jason!! |

I remember a couple months ago I looked at the shooting percentage of players on the team...and for the amount of goals they've scored divided by how many shots they'd taken, Kaleta had about 3x higher shooting percentage than pominturdshitstainville. |

Well I've been waiting 4 years for the olympics so this 2 week break doesn't mean shit to me. |

with the way they have been playing, this break could not have come at a better time.....they need to rest their pansie minds for a bit.... plus maybe darcy will come up with a trade (s) by the deadline.... |

USA games are all at like 3 so it's a win. I'm kinda pissed I have to go into work at 4 tomorrow and miss the second and third of the game. But I'll stay updated with my USA Hockey team. |

God the Women's hockey sucks. Canada - USA; USA - Canada. The rest of the Women's world sucks. They should just play a best of three series for the gold. I know, I know; it's not per the rules, but it is reality. |

Pretty much right, Howie. I couldn't even believe how much the talent difference between Russian men and Russian women's hockey is. They looked as bad against the Americans as the US ladies looked good against the Russians. |

i feel really horrible saying this, because im not a sexist pig... i HATE watching womens hockey. we had some of the 06 olympic team play at wings stadium, playing a game i scored. the gap between mens and womens hockey is unreal. i didnt feel like they were any better then some of the higher tier mens beer league players. |

Sadly, I think you're right. It's kind of unwatchable. |
