With 2 games in hand on Ottawa.. Tonight's win felt really good.. Let's hope these guys feed off of it.. I don't want to see less than 3rd place in the East for the rest of the year.. Looking at the teams we face the rest of the month, we could really go on a hot streak... GO SABRES!!! |

Time will tell man. Rags on Sunday night will be a big test for this team. As ETC once said, "Hope for the best, expect nothing." |

Im just excited cause we really did play well tonight, when I haven't seen that in a long time.. The only goals we've allowed were very rare big mistakes by Connolly and Myers.. |

Glad we won tonight, was at an Admirals game and I think I confused a few people when I cheered for the Sabres win in the middle of a penalty kill. And Dekanrich (SP?) Sucks balls in shootouts, the only two that didn't go past him went wide of the net. He never touched a puck. On the plus side, the Santorelli (I know i spelled that wrong) brothers scored in that same shootout that they still managed to lose. |

Good to see, although I'm sure that will change at least 5 more times before the playoffs start. |

Oh I agree, VK. I noticed a major step in the right direction with last nights game. A few hiccups here and there, but the team showed some major jump in their strides, backbone (which has been lacking) and willingness to put their bodies on the line to get into shooting lanes. Along with stepping in and up for their mates. Keeping in mind, that was one game and we still have 20 or so left to go, I'm pleased with how they came out of the gate last night. I thought Mair played some big minutes and seemed to only get better with more ice time. Makes sense though. Pommers was solid on the PK and boys were actually using the forecheck and...MOVING THEIR LEGS! Philly was a little better in the F/C department and there is still a lot of work to be done between now and April 11th but it looked like they were really finding their own last night and finding each other when it counted. Not saying all is well in Sabre land because we got one win. Just saying the way they played last night is the right path to getting this team in a good mindset. If that happens, swagger will follow. And if that happens, well then say hello to the post season with high playoff seed! |

mmmm..........Ottawa - Toronto this evening, so it doesn't appear it will last long. I think someone posted in here lets see where we fall in placement at the end of the season. I just want them to make the playoffs at this point. So, I'm hoping for atleast 10 more victories to attempt to secure that spot. |

seems like when you come off a hot streak, and ottawa was white hot, you counter that with a slump. law of averages. |

The Senators lost to friggin Carolina 4-1 last game Carolina has won 6 or 7 in a row, and have won probably 60% of their games this year. Stop doubting Carolina being a team that can easily beat other teams, they've been very unfortunate with injuries to EVERYONE, but everyone is basically healthy again and playing well for them. There is a reason why they have 6 games in a row in which they've won. |

They're just not that good and will probably end up in 12th to 14th. |
