Miller will be doing several appearances/interviews in the New York City area Monday, including interviews with Vanity Fair, the Wall Street Journal and VH-1. The Sabres are scheduled to be off.

Crosby was invited to be on both the Today Show and David Letterman, but declined both invites. Pfff, some face of the franchise. Miller can take over the reigns, he's a good representation. Although I understand it's more convenient for him to appear on the Today Show considering the Sabres are in NYC.

Not to defend Crosby but i think he is trying to not throw himself in the lime light. which works for me, the less i see of that doutche the better.

I really think the american players might start forcing bettman's hand to start marketing his american players.

Errrr, but why would he do that? He's the face of the NHL and he knows that. It's part of his responsibility to promote the NHL, especially in the States. But whatever, I'd much rather see Ryan on the Today Show than Sidney.

crosby is a cry baby, maybe he doesn't want to make more fans hate him, or give the impression that he is a stooge of bettman. I've got a friend who would claim that it isn't crosby it's a lot of people sucking up to crosby (i don't believe her, but maybe the kid is sensitive). I dunno, I've never met the guy, can't get a full psyche eval. Plus like i said the less of crosby seen the better. More Parise and Miller.

It's kind of an unwritten rule that as the star of a league or sport, one should be doing the celebrity circuit. See: LeBron James, Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods (before the fall), and Kobe Bryant.

He doesn't take the exposure and he's written off as not caring about the sport or just trying to have people not hate him. He takes the exposure and everyone flips shit that he's being crammed down our throats and that the league needs to market new players. Just sayin'.
