Horton returned from his broken leg and added 2 assists.
The Sabres come in to face the Panthers on Saturday. I will be paying real close attention to Horton.

I would like the Sabres to make a move for him this off season. A mix of roster and prospects/picks.
I would like to see the Sabres move Stafford + for him. What that + might be I'll leave to everyone else.

I doubt Florida is willing to part with Horton. He's still young enough for them to be included in a complete rebuild.

Horton is a commodity, and like any other commodity is tradable.

If the price is too high, he won't be moving anywhere unless Burke mortgages what future the Leafs have left for Horton, as he did with Kessel. If it is reasonable, then I'd spring for Horton, I guess we'll see come draft day.

I want us to go for some major free agents. We need some finishers, snipers, a back up, and a PP d man. Get rid of some dead weight and get a bit of that, and this team can stand up to the Caps and Pens.

I'd rather have Weiss than Horton

Outside of the all to expensive Kovalchuk, there is absolutely nothing in this seasons FA market that would make a significant impact on this roster IMO.

If we are going to grab an impact player, its going to happen via trade only I'm afraid.

I promoted a Weiss and Horton package from the Sabres prior to the Olympics.
I would have liked to have seen Roy, Stafford and, at the time, MacArthur, Gerbe plus our 1st. Coming back was Weiss, Horton, a mid level prospect and Florida 2nd round pick.

I'd love Horton on this roster. I wonder if Stafford, Gerbe and a pick would do it?

easier said then done. this team builds within, and a big free agent splash is a rarity. trading for a big name, has happened before.

Why are we blowing Nathan Horton today? I know slesh loves his manhood, but c'mon. Maybe it's just the trade rumors talking, but he isn't coming, and he's not hockey Jesus part 3 anyways. Although I do crave that RW'er, I don't think it's the "magical mysetry tour" everyone else does. I think it's pretty easy. Stop plugging in nobodies and new systems, and build a line(and system) around Vanek, Connolly/Roy, and Pominville/?

We have some borderline 1st line talent, and seem to have no intention to use it. We're gonna line jumble our way right through the Ruff/Regier era, and these guys will be gone.

The Pens, just wait and see how they fare in the Playoffs this year.

I'm sorry but losing Gil and Scuderi will hurt them tremendously when the game tightens up.

The Caps may be the team to beat in the East, but who do they go with in the playoffs? Theodore who almost completely blew it last year, or Varlamov, still a rookie, but did well in his playoff debut?

I haven't seen the Pens make too many bad moves. They may not be the team they "were', but wait until the rules change, eh hem, I mean the playoffs start.

I'd like a RWer that will gel with Vanek and Roy.
If not Horton, then Boyes or Penner look like viables as well.
Unless of course, you can show me a way to pry Kopitar from LA, then I'll start tooting the we need a center horn. ;)
