I regularly read GDTs before and after games at HF.
Quality stuff. They're always scared of us.
The difference between this fanbase's perception of the team and all the others' is amusing.

Man o man, I have to tell ya, I started reading some of our opponents GDT's pre and post game and most of the time I can't stop laughing. Miller creates anxiety with some of the opposing fan base almost a week in advance, then, during the games, there is a whole lot of "I wish we had Miller" statements, with "I hate Kaleta" or "Vanek and Roy, oh jesus, somebody cover them" or the best yet was this last Boston game where the entire fan base blamed Wideman for scoring 2 goals on Thomas. Some of them get me to laughing so hard I cramp up. |

I know...everyone thinks their team is horrible and their management and coaching is incompotent. Every fanbase essentially has the same complaints about their team as any other fanbase's team. |

Did you guys know most other forums don't do their until the day of the game. A lot of fans on hfboards actually think it's bad luck to do it the day before. |

I started doing this the night of the Rangers game in March. Man, it was just humor from them all day long. Some one in our GDT on SJ pointed out that Rangers fans are setting themselves on fire. I don't know who posted that, but my biggest thank you to you for turning me on to the opponents threads. I laughed so dam hard that dam near a full beer came through my nostrails. Now that is quality entertainment. You just don't get good sitcoms like that on TV any more

My favorite thing about opposing team GDTs is this season's hot argument between fans who are afraid of what Tyler Myers is going to do them that night vs fans who think he's really friggin overrated and think he'll flame out. Most fans hate to think what he's going to do. Our rookie defenseman already has a reputation as a dangerous player and opposing fans fear him. |

But it will shape up probably and they will realize he is the real deal. It happened to Miller. Everyone cried overrated, and he turned into an incredible player, then everyone saw him as a threat. |

So can you guys put some links to boards you visit? I could do a google search of course, but i'm sure there are multiple forums per team, i'd love to see the ones you're specifically talking about. haha, maybe we should all crash another teams GDT sometime, not be assholes, just sort of post and talk about the game with them and each other, with plenty of friendly jabs of course. |

I pretty much stick to HFboards. That site has a team forum for every team, and when you register, you register globally so you actually can talk smack in everyone else's GDT. |

Ya, I registered for that site, it lasted like 30 days and I only posted like20 times or something. I was told I was banned for Flaming, so, I called the mod who said that to me to suck my dick, he was the Flamer. No one ever told me what Flaming was on a forums, thats no bullshit either. It is kind of funny, but that mod most have thought I was ribbing him, I really wasn't. |
