I'm wondering.. How many more people have to be shaven from the roster and who do you think it will be?

I want to see Montador and Big Meyers on this team for the start

We need to just send Jochen to October Fest and start the season without him

I think Kennedy will be the last to get cut, with Myers staying. I'd be sad, though, cuz I really think Kennedy is ready.

Send his ass to Antartica, he'll get along fine with some penguins.

Ya know, fuck that. Jochen Hecht has had an excellent preseason. Hate him for the right reasons, but he's got 2 goals, and atleast 1 assist that I know of.

Drew Stafford has been a complete fucking ghost, same with Paille, and same with oh dare I say it; the beloved Tim Connolly.

I'm not saying that Hecht is better than those players, although I do think he's better than Danny the lost backstreet boy Paille, but jesus, give the guy a break before we kill him. Because in all honesty, he has only had 1 bad season here. Every other year he scores 20+ goals, and kills penalties like a champ.

I'm waiting to see Hecht shoot himself in the foot, but for now he's free to play in my book. He's on a short fucking leash, though.

Right after I made the comment about him sucking it up he made that sweet wrap around...damn you Heck confusing me like that. Yup short leash.

A good hockey management team would say "Fuck finances, we need to WIN", ship out Tallinder, and play Myers. Our management team, how you say, not so fucking good.

I am quite sure it is the short financial leash of one Thomas Golisano that prevents mamagement from making some needed moves. I still feel management has made some questionable moves/non moves, though.

That's where the problem starts. Winning should be his bottom-line, and the bottom-line shouldn't be...pardon the pun.

This is EXACTLY what I'm thinking for the line-up to start with. Once Mair returns it will be between sending Myers down, sending Butler down and keeping Paetsch as the 7th d-man, or sending Kennedy down and keeping Paetsch as the 8th d-man or an extra forward.

We can think what we want about how good these players are now, but we can't really know what the best decision is yet until Myers and Kennedy get ice time in real games under real pressure against all pro level talent.

That lineup is fucking bullshit. As Howie said, "If he stays, he plays". Sylvester is easily reciting the company line. A true roster shakeup that would indicate a desire to win and compete would ship out the flotsam and jetsam, such as Tallinder and Hecht, to make room for kids who are ready, such as Myers and Kennedy. Whatever fucking means necessary. This organization doesn't have that.

Myers won't sit, and Sylvester didn't try to say he should sit. In fact he said that the first nine games are needed to evaluate him, so he needs to play for that to happen.

Just start realizing right now that no team except the big cash hog teams like Montreal, Toronto and NYR will stuff big contracts in the minors. Hecht has played well enough to stay anyway, and Tallinder can stay as a reserve at least with the three options I detailed already once Mair returns...

1) Myers isn't ready yet and returns to Kelowna.
2) Myers stays, Butler returns to Portland.
3) Myers and Butler stay, Kennedy returns to Portland, Paetsch stays as the 8th d--man or extra forward.

We can't really evaluate Myers and Kennedy either until they face top talent in real games. There's plenty of time to do that while Mair is injured.

Butler going down to Portland may be the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. Consider him Top 4, and that's in cement.
