BOSTON -- Injured Boston Bruins center Marc Savard said Monday he is feeling well enough to return to action, perhaps as soon as later in the current series with the Buffalo Sabres. Savard suffered a Grade 2 concussion when he took a blindside hit to the head from Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke on March 7. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=526144 Don't like this |

Whatever. Kaleta will freight train his ass into the next galaxy when he inevitably skates up the ice with his head down again. |

Meh, don't want excuses. This is Buffalo, not Carolina. Get him back on the ice. A returning player is no guarantee that the team will be better anyways. All the more motivation to grind it out and win three straight. |

If this team buckles down and plays better defense than they have been the past few games, Savard coming back won't mean a damn thing. If they continue to play sloppy in their own end and turn it over on four out of five clearing attempts, then Savard coming back will be an issue. |

Yeah I can't imagine those things will continue over the course of the series, nor will the power play continue to be ineffective. Granted it's frightening to have half our team sucking, but in spite of that fact, we should probably still be up 2-0 in the series. |

Well, good for Savard. But this is no reason for us to panic or think that everything is automatically in Boston's favor just because Savard might be back. |

Let's just go curb stomp them in games 3 and 4 and show them who's boss. |

Savrard is a talented guy and to think you'd enjoy watching him get creamed as he's trying to come back from a 2nd degree concussion is fucking sick. I enjoy watching skilled players do their thing. Sounds like many others would prefer roller derby instead. There are definitely 2 schools of thought where this stuff is concerned: -love the ruff stuff -think it is a distraction from the game I am of the latter. And don't get me wrong, I like boxing a lot, but those are skilled fighters and it's interesting to watch them square off. It's about polished skill. Watching fights in hockey is like watching a couple drunks outside of a bar on Saturday night. Uninteresting. I'll never understand why some "hockey" fans are so into that. |

I couldn't agree more Buffalo has been real sloppy in their own end they need to buckle down hard in this area and get a couple of goals on the powerplay if that's to much to ask. |

I'm just saying it's likely to happen. I don't like seeing guys get injured. This goes much further than hockey, as we're talking about someone's livelihood. But Savard, though he's been the victim of some malicious hits, is guilty of not paying attention to his surroundings when he's got the puck on the blade of his stick. And if he starts to focus on that and play timid, he's not going to be worth jack to the Bruins. |

Just wish ZE German was playing, one of the better defensive offensive guys we have.... problem is i doubt we see him this series... |

Seriously, these guys were (one of) the only team(s) to shut out the Capitals. I think they can handle Savard and the rest of the worst offense in the league if they get their heads on straight. |

Things don't look good for old Buffalo. I'm sorry. I'm not the type of person to say this wont matter and he will just get injured again. Boston is sweating Momentum... We are in trouble. |

We are in trouble. I had a bad feeling about this series before it even started. Strangely, I'm starting to feel better about it after watching the first two games. I think Boston will dominate the stats, but Buffalo will still come out with the 4 wins. |

Squanto wrote: BlueandYellow wrote: We are in trouble. Until they are facing an elimination game, they're not in trouble. True, true. But I am still worried. Boston is a defensive team, and with this it boosts their offense and let's them get momentum. Sabres need to TRY and forget the Vanek injury. |

Ugh. It's so intense. I hope Miller dominates tonight to the point where he seems like Hasek on Performance Enhancers. |
