Andre Suckera made a stand. A few of our guys took one for the team, and stood up; others didn't. I'm sad to say most of the guys who didn't are making the most money. Maybe they just need a new coach? If not, maybe they need a new team. This notion that the core is great, and we're competitive isn't enough to fill my hockey soul right now(hate to sound like ice, but it's true).

This. What a devastatingly-awesome hit (textbook nastiness and I would have loved it if it wasn't on a Sabre), and I'm still astounded Ellis came back minutes later.

Ellis is such a subtly solid player. If the rest of the team had his hustle and heart, this would be one scary hockey club.

Back in the day, the 'Hockey Night in Canada' guys would always say, "he's going to the dressing room, but you can bet he'll be back". Matt Ellis is one of the few guys we have that they'd always say that about.

I personally thought he was done, but it was apparently a stinger.

I thought he was done too, he got destroyed. When he was back out on the ice I had to do a double take because I thought there was no way he would be back in this game, let alone the rest of the series.

When he got up(Was Risen), he just kind of cradled his arm. A stinger in the shoulder or elbow apparently. If it was broken, dislocated, or just a stinger you'd never know until you get a report. Speculating injuries is a tough business.
