It seems to me that the Sabres are a real lazy, gutless team....... I'm tired of waqtching teams dump it in and beat us to pucks in our own zone while each of our payers watch the puck........ I mean come on this is ridiculous, when we dump it in it comes right back out with no sabre in sight of even getting to the dump in but when other teams do it to us we watch the puck and let the other team beat us to the puck and keep it in Im getting tired of watching this team.... It's boring hockey very boring and very pathetic........ Thoughts??? Comments???? |

I just feel like they rip my heart out because they can do so much better, but it does'nt seem like they are willing to do what it takes to play like a contender. Its llike were just handing boston this series and I dont like it at all.... I understand they have a system, but to me the system only gets you so far , ruff needs to let these guys loose and make them want to win these battles.... we have lost i would say 90 percent of one on one battles for the puck and if you do that your not going to win..... They need to take it to boston and blow through their boring TRAP defense......IMO they only play the trap because they know they can't score enough to beat teams lol But it makes for boring hockey but anyways if the sabres dont shape up boston is taking this in 5 |

The Bruins did win a ton of battles. Unfortunately two guys that are real good at that are currently injured. |

I just don't understand this at all, its like we have all the bad luck honestly not this game because the goals scored were legit but honestly how many times have you seen shots for goals like the bruins chara and ryder go in on our end??? chara throws a lame duck 2mph wrist shot from the blue line and it goes in and ryder gets a tap in from mid air that miller had the initial save on..... it's like everytime we take a shot from the blueline it bounces off a bruin and down the ice or right on his stick...I understand hockey is a SKILL sport but I would say alot of games are decided by just pure damn luck...... which o don;t see in the sabres favor at the moment..... on Another note I heard Vanek might be back for game 4 is that true???? We really need him in front of that net if were gonna come back and win this series cause it seems we do get lucky when hes infront of the net.... |

I wouldn't say this team is afraid to hit them, because I don't know what series you are watching if you say that. They are hitting left and right and it's one of the most physical series in the playoffs right now. Game two had 100 hits combined by both teams, the Sabres had well over 40 hits in game one also. I'm not sure the numbers tonight, but I'm sure both teams had over 30 hits again tonight. |

The Sabres have been just plain beat up by the Bruins. The first game, I thought that maybe that Buffalo would be too quick for Boston to handle. I thought Buffalo would make Boston look like Philly in the playoffs 4 years ago, just skating circles around them. That hasn't happened. Ever since the Vanek injury, Buffalo looks listless, lifeless. They're getting physically hammered. Every time someone tries to hit back, they bounce off Chara like a superball. The Bruins have trounced Buffalo in the last two games, and Miller is the only reason tonight's gme wasn't much more lopsided. Sad state of affairs. They're getting pushed around, and with all their supposed tough guys in the lineup to boot. I think I'll go throw up now. |

Im not talking about hits, you can hit someone all you want, if they leave with the puck, thats what really matters. Im not saying they aren't hitting, just that they are not winning the puck battles along the boards when they DO hit..... |

I know some of them we aren't winning. the whole Kennedy trying to go in on Recchi is a mistake because the guys who are actually going into the corners to battle don't have the size advantage. How many times are we going to see Ennis, Kennedy, Roy win a battle along the boards without help? The guys who need to go for the puck seem to be afraid to do so. I'd rather have Connolly going for the puck over one of his wingers. |

But next thing you know, the Bruins are slapping a shot-on-goal. FAIL. |

the dream machine(Paul Guastad) played almost 20 minutes and had tons of pp time(way more than Poms and Ennis etc) so If you are saying the sabres played soft and didn't stick up for players you might want to talk to the guy who was second in icetime tonight and 3rd last game. I've never in my life seen a coach handle icetime and shifts like Lindy. Turn on any other playoff game and when they are down a goal late they give skill guys the icetime. last game with 5 minutes to go Ennis played 16 seconds and Goose never left the ice with his sidekicks Grier, Lydman and MontadORR. Those guys would not even make the Penguins roster. the Sabres released Mair but in the playoffs he out for 4 on 4s and when the team is down a goal late he is out there. LOL don't worry folks, Sekera was a big scorer in junior 6 years ago. That's what they tell me at HFboards. |

You'd have a lot more credibility if you didn't exclusively talk shit every time you came around. |

The problem is they're getting away from the system and cheating. I don't know if Lindy has communicated this to them yet, but he should. If not him then Miller should. Everybody in that locker room listens to Miller. He needs to be our unofficial captain because everyone will listen to him. |
