After hearing Craig Rivet talk about his experience playing for Montreal in the 2004 playoffs when they came back after being down 3-1 in a best-of-7, I did a little research.

Ready for the irony?

That comeback was against.....

the BRUINS!

Double irony:

The Montreal coach who engineered the comeback....

Claude Julien.

Bruins are aware of what awaits them:

Funny thing was last year it happened by two teams in the playoffs.

The Capitals against the Rangers, then the Penguins against the Capitals.

It's possible.

Hope springs eternal, but it's unlikely at best.

A 3rd period goal some time might help. None so far in 4 games. I can't even think of any dangerous opportunities Rask had to face in the 3rd period of any game so far.

There have been good scoring chances in the third period. They just go wide and over the net.

Pittsburgh was only down 0-2 to the Caps last year.
