Something to be said for being the Champs of the Northeast Division.

In recent years it has been the Atlantic Division that had all but one team in the playoffs. This year, only Toronto didn't make it from the NE Division. To win a divison that makes up half of the 8 teams coming out of the East is an accomplishment.

How tough is the division this year? Number 3 in the NE will be in the 2nd round and number FOUR is going to game 7 against the President's Trophy winner.

And hate them or not, Ottawa is no slouch either, and they were 2nd in the division.

Still though, the core of the Sabres needs to shift one line back (save Vanek).

I think the Sabres need some changes to help them because I feel this whole division is becoming really competitive. Buffalo has serious trouble against Ottawa, Montreal was giving us problems during the season, Boston should be better next year with the addition of Hall or Seguin in the draft and then you have Toronto who I believe outshot us everygame but only lost because they couldn't get pucks past Miller and they will be better next year with Burke running the show.

I'm really interested to see what Dipshit Darcy is going to do with Tallinder and Lydman and possibly Rivet because I don't know if Weber, Butler and possibly Grangani can do a better job than those 3 guys. This team lacks any serious offensive depth in their system besides Adam and Kassian and I highly doubt either one makes it on the team next year anyways. Their is way too many small forwards on this team with Roy, Gerbe, Ennis, Kennedy to begin with. Regier's so called core players aren't good enough to make a serious run at the cup and to be honest with you a major overhaul needs to take place on offense. Connolly and Stafford need to go but I don't believe you will get much for either. This teams only first line player is Vanek. Defensive help is needed for Myers. Yes Myers is good but it would be nice to add one or two more solid young defenseman. I think the only position where we are set for awhile is in net with Miller and Enroth.

Love the Dipshit Darcy label by the way. That is classic in itself.

I promised myself I wouldn't post, but, in the end, I'm a Sabres fan for life, as my father was before me and as my sons will be as well.

Northeast Division champs means 0 to me. Been here before. Just a Stanley Cup please, thats all I am looking forward to, preferrably won here in Buffalo with me and my boys at the game ;).

What if your son ends up going to the Wharton School of Business? What if he falls in love with the city of Brotherly love, meets a nice girl, settles down, starts a booming business, makes a ton of money, hooks up with a few other rich guys and not only becomes a fan of, but BUYS the Flyers? You visit the grandkids down on the main line and their bedrooms are wall to wall Flyers stuff. Now what?

Then what the f are you gonna do?
