Now that a certain lacrosse-hating curmudgeon has departed these forums, I don't have to worry about catching shit for this... LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, YOUR 2010 BUFFALO BANDITS ARE IN THE NLL CHAMPION'S CUP PLAYOFFS! Featuring the all-time winningest coach (Hall of Famer Darris Kilgour), the all-time leading scorer (ageless wonder - 41 - John Tavares), record holder for points and assists in a single game (Mark Steenhuis), and the reigning defender of the year (Billy Dee Smith) and also goalie of the year (Kenny "Monster" Montour), the four-time champion Buffalo Bandits face off against the Toronto Rock on Saturday, May 1st at 7:35PM EST. The game will be webcast free on NLL.com (as is every single game). The Buffalo Bandits have an illustrious history that features record-setting winning streaks, championship games, attendance figures, and have the right to claim that every coach and most managers were once parts of the Bandits family. Buffalo Bandits' Wikipedia page Here's a team with blue-collar (read: their lacrosse career is their secondary job) players, superstars, and a history and legacy you can fall in love with, and a sport that can hook a hockey fan fast. The Evil Empire's bandwagon has plenty of room. LET'S GO BANDITS! |

Well, there might not be. In order for the Bandits to have a home playoff game, they'd have to upset Toronto (which, for a number of reasons I am too lazy to list, will probably happen) and Boston would have to upset New York. Then, the Bandits would host the division championship game. Shenanigans Irish Pub at the corner of Nigara Falls Blvd and Sheridan Dr projects the away games on the wall, and the owners set aside space for us Bandits fans. Quick service and a rocking good time with other fans! |

I'd like to try to get into the Bandits. I've heard their home games are a blast. |

Best in Buffalo of any sport, no lie. 18,690 screaming, chanting, waving, bouncing, costumed die-hard lacrosse fans. The best in-game announcer in the business. And some of the best players in the league on the floor. |

The only team out side the bisons before the Mets took over and the Buffalo Blizzard who no longer exist to win a major championship here in buffalo. The games are a lot of fun. Gives you an excuse to keep a playoff beard as well. |
