Per James Mirtle's Twitter: Dustin Brown, Mike Green and Ryan Miller are the three finalists for the NHL Foundation Player Award for community service. I think everyone in Buffalo and every Sabres fan is aware of how much Ryan gives back to our community when he's off the ice, so it's nice to see that he's getting recognized league-wide for all that he does. |

Sabres.com has a write-up as to why the guys were nominated. http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=527238 It's nice to read about what all these guys are involved in and what they do for their communities despite the fact that they have such demanding schedules. I always thought the NHL had the most classy, genuine professional athletes out of all the major sports. |

He is nominated for everything this year. Haha. Too bad winning a Conn Smythe won't be part of it. |
