Nicholas Mendola is there at locker clean-out and he's been tweeting morsels from each player. I'll update as I he tweets more.

- If he receives an invite, Myers will play in the WC for Canada. He also wants to bulk up this summer.

- Kaleta held his stick with four fingers and couldn't move his wrist in the Bruins series. Said the rest of the team could've played more desperate. Called the first round exit unacceptable.

- Tallinder likes it here and wants to stay

- Lydman also like it here and wants to stay, but has no illusions...he's open to playing anywhere, even though Heta and the girls want to stay here (they like it here, too).
(I take those statements as a possible indicator Tonza may be gone but Hank will stay)

- Miller said he'll go into battle with whoever is in the room and that it's up to managment to supply the guys.
(I take that as a damning indictment of Darcy's ability to do what's needed)

- The One True Grier said he likes the direction the team is moving in now and wants to stay. His agent made that official after the loss.
(I think, and so do some of my fellow bloggers, that this is more a sign of him not getting a lot of offers again. He's getting older and slower. If he resigns, he'll retire here. Book it.)

- Roy is emotional and upset. Says there was no civil war between him and Lindy, and all the criticism against him is acceptable. He really doesn't want a change of scenery.

I'll add Kaleta's comments to my list of "Reasons why I love Patrick Kaleta and will most likely get his name on a new away jersey."

Connolly said he gave it his all every shift and just came up short. He's SHOCKED at suggestions they should move him.

Which one of those two players thinks 0g and 3a COMBINED is acceptable in any 6 game stretch, let alone a playoff series with a banged up defense unless they're both dead? Fuck them. Fuck them to another team.

Watching Connolly's shit attitude during that interview makes me want to kick him in the teeth.

To think I offered him a beer once. Fucking cock.

EDIT: I give him a LITTLE credit because it was Coach Bucky asking him some questions. :p

You didn't know that? He's a die-hard Red Sox fan due to his childhood in the Boston area and he's a Texans fan because that's where his uncle works, I believe as a member of the training staff.

I wasn't reporting from the Bucky interview, I was following Nick Mendola's tweets, so thank you for pointing out Douchebag Gleason was doing the video interview.

Rivet said he played with a double labrum tear in his shoulder the entire season. He's having surgery and will be recovering 4-6 months.

Edit: Rivet added he was adamant that he didn't want the reveal of his injury to be the story of his season, and that he was plain disappointed in his own game.

Vanek said he had separate injuries to his ankle, calf, and foot, and that if it wasn't the playoffs, he'd have missed three weeks to a month. He's got a wicked heavy limp, it is said.

Derek Roy seems to be trying to shift the blame off of him in his interview on Sabres.com

Connolly needs to go plain and simple. He's a very decent player who is very good when on his game but the playoffs showed he was just totally useless on the ice didn't create chances for the players around him and was invisible. When you pay a guy 4.5 million a season and he's a veteran leader he should come to play. All the injuries over his career have really shown.

I have been saying this for awhile now Derek Roy is a second line player playing against first line centers that are bigger, taller and stronger. I wouldn't trade him I think if the sabres can get a first line center and winger for Vanek this will take some of the pressure off Roy and will most likely be facing second line talent.

Well I don't feel so bad about him now. That's probably why he sucked (in addition to him getting older). When his contract is up next season, he'll probably retire. Hope he has a good surgery and speedy recovery.
