How do you all think we would have faired against Philly, had we overcome Boston in the Quarters?

Well, I think the Sabres would have played a more wide-open game against Philly, and I think that plays to the Sabres' strengths. That being said, I think Philly is just as dangerous as the Bruins, so that might even it back up again.

I would've expected the Sabres to get bounced in six games against Philly after seeing what they did to NJ and how they keep fighting back against Boston.

Tough to say, I think that failing to stay out of the box hurt them vs. Boston and could have vs. any team they play really. But I don't think Boucher is better than Miller lol. And I don't think the Flyers have a better team, Sabres in 5.

Obviously Miller is a league apart from Boucher, but the Flyers are one tough bunch of bastards.

Woulda been Flyers in 6.

First round Boucher looked like Brodeur. Second round he looks like Cloutier. Who knows?

I think Boston is superior to Philly, and that they would have been a much more favorable match up for us.

Lindy I'm sure would love some playoff payback on laviolette.

Montreal and Boston were two teams I didn't feel great about going in.

We would have had Montreal if we advanced to the second round. They handled the Habs well in the regular season. It would just be a matter of beating Halak and I'm not sure how well I can guess on that one

Had we won pour last game of the season we would have played Philly and honestly I would probably feel better looking at the outcome now. Or even had we advanced I don't think it would have been too hard.

I honestly think we would have dealt with Boucher much easier than Rask of course.

If we advanced to the semi-finals that would have left us with 3rd seed, Pittsburgh with 4th, Philly with 7th and Montreal with 8th. It would have been Sabres-Habs and Penguins-Flyers

Boucher played just as good as, if not better than Rask in the first round though.

I'd like to think of it as... If boston can put up this many goals against Philly, think what we could have done?

That is true, he was number one in SV% and GAA I think. He [played out of his mind, but had we had them second round I think we would have lit them up, who knows now though. We're out of the playoffs and can only speculate now.

boucher had a spectacular season in 99-00, but he never really regained that play again. but, honestly, i feel he is alot better then people make him out to be. hes kind of a fringe player. if a team took a chance, and let him play 40 games, he could earn some decent numbers, maybe even a .910 save percentage kinda season. (i use save percentage as a gauge)

Don't worry Irony, I like SV% over GAA also.

yeah, outside wins, which is subjective, save percentage is alot better to gauge a goaltender with.
