I wasn't exactly expecting this, but it'll be nice to see how Kennedy performs on a national stage. Funny how guys like Pominville, Gaustad, and Connolly were all snubbed, as they are all US born.

Funny how they all looked like shit in the opening round ;)

I'm assuming Miller declined an invitation.

That's what I assumed, as well.

Pominville probably got invited but declined. He's said he wants to spend time as a daddy cuz he hasn't had an extended chance to do so yet.

Great experience for Kennedy. He will be part of the world record opening game in front of 76,000 people.
...and it's gonna be broadcastet in 3D, unfortunately not for me

Pominville is Canadian. He has dual citizenship now I believe.

He's always had dual citizenship. He chose to play for the US in the 2008 World Championships. He would have to go through a waiting period to play for Team Canada should he want to switch. I suspect that he played for the US team since he had a better chance of actually making it.

Hopefully he does well. Isn't Myers playing for Canada as well?

I hope they do, he would do well. Good for Kennedy too, it will give him more experience. Need him to hit the gym this summer though! Another 15 pounds would make a huge difference for him.

Shoot Pom's should stay home and hire a personal trainer that can help him with some foot speed because he's been lacking it since he had that overtime goal in Ottawa years back.

I noticed that too. He's still too young to be losing speed already. I noticed a bit with Roy too. He needs to be moved to the wing. If we retain Connolly let him center between Pommer and Roy.

Roy is fine the problem with Roy is he's a second line center playing against teams first liners who are bigger, stronger and taller.

And he lacks in the faceoff circle. Scratch that previous line, I would rather keep Pommer on the 1st line with Vanek and another center. Line 2 with Ennis, Roy and Hecht.

Learning and practicing to be a better face-off man you can do even if small.

And Roy tries to dangle every time he has the puck, which fails.

Myers and Doughty will be paired up, book it. And it is going to be SICK.
