It will. By switching to major junior, he gets an additional playing year and will be a starter instead of a reserve. |

I really like that he switched to major junior. Even better he's going to Kamloops so I'll be able to see quite a bit of him next year. |

Im not sure how much of a prospect this kid is at this point. Granted ND is a great program, but if you can't even get on the ice in college, it doesn't say much for your potential as an NHL'er or even an AHL'er for that matter |

It's prospect talk. There really isn't very much to this other than a Sabres prospect ditched UND for a junior league. Big deal. He'll get more minutes there because he doesn't feel he has time to wait to get the minutes in college, a.k.a. he's not gonna wait for the juniors and seniors to graduate before he gets to play. He's a third round pick and he wants to try to make it sooner rather than later. |

I pay just as much attention as you do to prospects -- yes it is possible, but saying its common place for a good prospect not to get playing time in college isn't saying hes a good prospect. I'm not neglecting the news, thanks for it phil, I was trying to explain to some why this is no blockbuster move. |
