Harvard boy, captain of his team, team MVP two seasons running, never missed a game in four years, solid defender, well-liked by his teammates...this is a good signing. He may not be the best guy in the pipeline, but he sounds like a decent dude. |

Good signing for sure but are the Sabres building a ECHL team? They seem to have a lot of guys signed for next year and i am assuming they will want a few vets just in case. |

ECHL is a level below portland, I think he's saying that we're going to have 2 farm teams by the looks of it because of all the youngsters portland has signed. |

That's how I interpreted it as well, but (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) the Sabres are one of a few teams - if not the team - in the NHL to not have an ECHL affiliate. |
