Feeling like my theory that Tallinder wants a big pay day is probably gonna be true.

Fine...be that way, Hank. :(

He wants to use the salary cap increase, and his good season next to Myers as leverage for his last big payday in the NHL. I can't blame him, but if he ends up with a cap hit over 3 mil per he's getting well over-paid.

I hate to think Hank is doing this (over-valuing himself), but if he wants it that way, then we'll say ya later.

Not a lot of big name guys out there either. I'd expect for Tallinder to wait til the dust settles and then sign somewhere. He'll get around the same as Spacek.

I'll take Volchenkov for $3-$3.5 million for 4 years playing next to Myers instead of Hank and Weber comin up to replace Loods next to Montador.....works for me

LeBrun just tweeted that both Tallinder and Lydman are likely goners unless something magical happens tonight.

Wait! Does this mean we lose both of them if I don't get laid tonight? Too much pressure!
Personally, I'd like to keep Loods. Hopefully LeBrun only meant they'll hit the market tomorrow, and then we end up re-signing #5.

Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I'll defenitely applaud them when they touch the puck for their new teams

Let Tallinder walk, no real loss.

I talked to Phil about this too. I tend to think that Hank might either be hoping for $4M plus or he thinks he can get some schmuck to pay him that much in Free Agency.

Call him 'Hank the tank', or 'Hank the stank' if ya want. I'll bet a few GM's will be thinking they are smarter than message board posters, and offering him good money. I'd be one of them if they let me.

/not jabbing at anyone, just being comical.

We're in for a tense day. I'll be off work; let's hope it's fun. I know our GM EXPECTS us to EXPECT him to under-value everyone, but this is why we play the games.

I hope more for Lydman than anything. Keep him and Montador together as they had damn great chemistry together this year, except right before the Olympic break when Monty sucked a bit.

Bring up Weber and place him with Myers, yes two younger guys together, but Weber is a much better stay at home guy and could fill great defensive voids when Myers rushes the puck up.

Rivet plays with Butler and Sekera once again. Hopefully much improved this year. If no Lydman, then resign someone to fill Lydman's spot and bring up Weber. I'd love Martin just like everyone else here.

I'm thinking Hank wants at least the same amount of cash or more and Darcy and company are offering less. Hey I can't blame a guy that wants a big contract it's not likes he's going to play forever. Make as much as you can or as much as your happy with.
