When the Vezina trophy winner talks about how helpful his backup was in his acceptance speech, that backup gets re-signed...not a big shocker here.

per Nick Kypreos it is a 600000 deal with bonuses

That's a pretty good deal.

Damn it.

I thought everyone wasn't so down with Lalime resigning? Come on! The guy is horrible.

Yeah, I'm in awe that he was brought back, especially on a minimum salary, when the only other options are asking 3M+ for their services...

Lets face it, it keeps our superstars happy, and it keeps team chemistry as intact as possible.

When a Vezina trophy winner specifically thanks his backup in an acceptance speech, I resign said backup.

If he wanted Thibault back, that would be a different story.

I'm fine with this, especially on a 1 year deal. Everyone knows he's gone after this year

Everyone here has been high on him as one of the more solid backups in the NHL.

5-13 and 4-8 aren't really very solid numbers.

but 600,000 is pretty solid... and it keeps a smile on Miller's face... so we have to be happy with it...

A bonus for everytime he actually wins a game lol. Again, like everyone is saying, if he keeps Millsie happy then that's all that matters. And at 600K, I'm fine with it. Its better than paying Turco 3.5M for roughly the same back-up record.

This signing was done 100% to keep Miller happy. The Sabres learned their lesson re: keeping their star goalie happy after Hasek.

I guess Miller doesn't value rest.

This move pisses me off. When's Enroth going to get his chance to prove his worth? He's not even valuable trade bait until he gets some NHL starts.

Lalime better come back in the best shape of his life, because if he doesn't I won't feel sorry for him when he gets booed for a soft goal.
