Now I don't mean to start a bashing thread...but until overtime, he literally did nothing. I also know that you can't be good every game, but even Hecht did something this game. Everytime Vanek touched the puck he just gave it away. Now i'm also not talking about showing up on the score sheet, at all. But in a game where EVERY single player hustled except for him...I mean...what gives? Now I do not want for this to be a bash thread, or for any namecalling to happen. I'm just asking for you all to watch the game again and see how much he floated. I don't know if he skated 100 feet the entire game combined. Hope the whole season isn't like this. |

Do you think he's injured? There were several occasions where the Canadiens' right winger came into our zone and received a pass untouched. Just out of sync from the rest of the team. Everyone else, except for maybe Sekera and Tallinder because of a few bad blunders, played really solid hockey. |

I went to school with a guy that got a restraining order put on him by Vanek. Kid just liked him too damn much. But all arguments aside, really just talking about his play. I thought he was the worst of all the skaters. |

Vanek was the most disappointing player for me last night. I expect a lot more from him. I don't care if he doesn't score, but at least try to set up your team mates for success. Turning over the puck as much as he did is not doing that. He needs to turn down the suck, and up the awesome. |

especially because hecht made some horrid defensive plays. Vanek did have a couple deflections but he wasn't very effect. |
