Doesn't make a bit of sense. Darcy was willing to pay up to $800k to keep the kid on the roster before arbitration, but now they're going to pay $333k to get rid of him? |

This creates $833k of cap space this year, and a smidge of cap penalty next year. But why? If Darcy was making a big move, he doesn't need to clear space to exceed the cap today. And, it would have to be a HUGE move to even do that. Something doesn't jive here. |
